CASSCOMM is comprised of many different companies specializing in the telecommunications industry. Based out of central Illinois and serving thirteen counties with the latest in technology, CASSCOMM operates Cass Communications Management, Inc., Cass Cable TV, Cass Telephone Company, Cass Long Distance, Cass Advertising and Greene County Partners offering services including: landline telephone services, cable television, high-speed internet and digital phone services. CASSCOMM has also recently opened the CASSCOMM Tech Center offering computer repair, clean up, smart phone repairs and many other services.

CASSCOMM is a strong provider of broadband communication services, providing high quality fiber optic service in central Illinois. CASSCOMM provides service to the following communities: Talbott, Spring Lake, Manito, Forest City, Goofy Ridge, Buzzville, Havana, Bath, Easton, Mason City, Kilbourne, Oakford, Chandlerville, Virginia, Bluff Springs, Beardstown, Ashland, Tallula, Pleasant Plains, Rushville, Mt. Sterling, Versailles, Griggsville, Pittsfield, Petersburg, Athens, Williamsville, Sherman, Riverton, Manchester, Roodhouse, White Hall, Carrollton, Jerseyville and Brighton.

CASSCOMM originated in 1898 when granted a franchise as the Virginia and Little Indian Telephone Company. The telephone wire ran from the community of Little Indian to Virginia, IL providing telephone service within the city limits. The construction wires were strung along roadsides, attached to any stable device available. In 1910 the company was incorporated as Cass County Telephone and Telegraph Company which has evolved into Cass Telephone Company.

In 1965 Cass Community Antenna Television, Inc. was formed in Beardstown, Illinois and received a total of 12 channels. Cass Community Antenna Television is now known as Cass Cable TV, Inc. which has expanded to serve communities with basic cable packages, digital cable packages, high speed cable modem internet service, high definition services and digital phone services. In 2005 Greene County Partners was acquired servicing communities in the counties of Greene, Jersey, Menard and Sangamon.

CASSCOMM added Excede/Wildblue satellite internet service starting in 2005 for our rural customers in the vicinity of our service areas of Ashland, Athens, Bath, Beardstown, Bluff Springs, Buzzville, Carrollton, Chandlerville, Easton, Forest City, Goofy Ridge, Havana, Jerseyville, Kilbourne, Manito, Mason City, Mt. Sterling, Oakford, Petersburg, Pittsfield, Pleasant Plains, Roodhouse, Rushville, Sherman, Talbott, Tallula, Versailles, Virginia, White Hall and Williamsville; servicing over 120 customers. Excede offers the CASSCOMM service area high speeds when cable modem, DSL and rural high speed wireless services aren't available. In 2010 CASSCOMM offered more options for internet. Wimax service became available to our rural customers in the areas of rural Beardstown, Havana, Literberry, Mt. Sterling, Pittsfield and Rushville.

In 2009 CASSCOMM launched its Digital Phone Service (VOIP) with unlimited calling and local number portability. The following year Video On Demand (VOD) was launched for cable television customers. In 2011 CASSCOMM’s Advertising Department received a National Telly Award for excellence in an ad series. CASSCOMM continues to strive to be the leading cable provider in its service area, CASSCOMM has many new options coming in the future for current and new customers.
